Bring plastic bottles, cans, paper and cardboard, and glass bottles and jars to the drop-off center between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Don’t bag any items; keep them loose.

Household electronics and more

Electronics and other hazardous household waste like cleaners and batteries can go to 1108 E. Ashley St. 8 a.m. to noon on the first and third Saturdays of the month.

Tidy Up

Give bottles, cans and jars a rinse, keep the paper and cardboard dry and clean, and flatten cardboard boxes. Don’t bag any of them; keep them loose.

Depending on size and need, businesses can use regular 18-gallon recycle bins, 6-yard rear-load cardboard dumpsters or 4-by-4 cages at no additional cost.
